Pengaruh Kuat Tekan Beton F’c 24,9 Mpa Dengan Penambahan Zat Aditif Bestmittel 0,3%
ABSTRACT
The increasing development of construction projects has led to a rising demand for concrete. Concrete is a mixture of Portland cement or other hydraulic cements, fine aggregates, coarse aggregates, and water, with or without admixtures. The purpose of adding admixtures is to modify one or more properties of the concrete. Concrete with Type E admixtures (water-reducing and accelerating admixtures) can facilitate the concrete placement process and improve its compressive strength within a short period. In this study, an admixture called Bestmittel was used at a dosage of 0.3% without water reduction, targeting a design compressive strength of 24.9 MPa. The research method employed was DOE (Design of Experiment) based on SNI 03-2834-2000. The test specimens were cylindrical with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm. A total of 18 specimens were tested, with variations in concrete age and Bestmittel dosage of 0.3% at 3, 5, 7, 15, and 28 days. The results showed that the compressive strength of normal concrete at 28 days was 25.559 MPa, whereas concrete with 0.3% admixture at 15 days reached 27.540 MPa, exceeding the design compressive strength. The highest percentage increase in compressive strength for concrete with 0.3% Bestmittel was observed at 3 days, with a compressive strength of 16.559 MPa compared to 10.224 MPa for normal concrete, representing a 62% increase. This demonstrates that the addition of Bestmittel admixture at a 0.3% dosage has a significant and highly effective impact on achieving compressive strength at early concrete ages, i.e., before 28 days.
