highlight indicators of the effectiveness of the implementation of assimilation in
accordance with the objectives of the amended changes to the law on corrections
and Permenkumham No. 16 of 2023 on assimilation activities that are expected to

According to type of research, this research is an empirical legal research
(non-doctrinal) where the researcher presents as a whole about the extent of the
extent to which the effectiveness of the implementation of the assimilation
program for prisoners in Class IIA Correctional Institution Bangkinang, Class IIB
Dumai Detention Center, and Class III Rumbai Open Correctional Facility. using
empirical facts taken from human behavior, both verbal behavior obtained from

The results
The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of the provision of
assimilation results in the to prisoners in Class IIA Bangkinang Correctional
Facility, Class IIB Dumai Detention Center, and Class III Rumbai Open
Correctional Facility has fulfilled the effectiveness of assimilation results. Class
III Rumbai Open Correctional Facility has fulfilled a number of indicators in
measuring the effectiveness of this assimilation program. effectiveness of this
assimilation program. Factors inhibiting the implementation of assimilation
program in Class IIA Bangkinang Correctional Institution, Class IIB Dumai
Detention Center, and Class III Rumbai Open Correctional Institution include

community stigma towards prisoners, the level of compliance with community
stigma towards prisoners, varying levels of compliance of prisoners, and lack of
coordination between related institutions. The efforts made by correctional
institutions in Riau Province and the local government in overcoming the

include improvement of facilities and resources, skills training for prisoners, and
