Urban agriculture developing on empty land around settlements and other community activities in order to meet the food needs for urban communities. The use of chicken dirt manure, chemical fertilizers and pesticides should be done to produce high production so that profits can be achieved. However, excessive use of external inputs can pollute the surrounding environment. This research was aimed to analyze the characteristics and management of urban agricultural environment, the impact on the biophysical aspects of the environment, public and farmers perception on the urban agriculture. Characteristics and agricultural environmental management was done by farmers obtained from questionnaires by means of random sampling, the impact on the biophysical aspects from the test results obtained from water and soil samples were taken by purposive sampling in three-point water samples and two-point soil samples. Water quality test results are then compared with the Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001, while the content of soil compared in the two sampling points. Public perception and farmers obtained from questionnaires to society by purposive sampling and random sampling to farmers. The results showed that the dominant types of vegetables grown are spinach, kale, mustard greens, lettuce and always use the input of chicken dirt manure, chemical fertilizers such as NPK, Urea, TSP, ZA, fungicides and insecticides in each planting period; use fertilizer and pesticide inputs not using an urban resources, compost manure and botanical pesticide has not been done; the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides leading to high levels of nitrate (NO3) in farmland water that has passed the threshold (29.29 mg / l) and very low pH values (pH 4.07), the contain of soil for total nitrogen and posphat in farmland soil was lower than in non-agricultural land; community and farmer perceptions of positive on the socioeconomic conditions but for the impact on the environment partially public perception is negative smell arising mainly due to the possibility of contamination from fertilizers and pesticides
