ABSTRACT
Anime has achieved widespread success beyond Japan, including in Indonesia, where it has been broadcast on national television and inspired numerous anime fan communities, particularly in Pekanbaru. Therefore, there is a need for a dedicated facility to accommodate the interest and enthusiasm of anime fans. This design is based on the values of expressionist architecture and adopts the concept of emotion. Emotion is defined as an intense feeling directed toward someone or something, and it is often a reaction to a person or event. The basic form of the building is inspired by iconic structures from popular anime, which have been classified according to the emotions they commonly evoke. The building façades utilize concrete and glass materials to highlight the emotional expression of each structure, in line with the principles of constructive material use. The interior concept is adapted to match the specific theme and function of each space. The circulation and parking systems are designed with clear zoning to facilitate easy access for both visitors and staff. Vegetation across the site serves as a noise buffer, provides shade, and acts as an aesthetic element, enhancing the visual experience and comfort of visitors. All of these elements are integrated to create a modern and functional facility that meets the needs and interests of anime fans in Pekanbaru. This building serves both community and recreational purposes and includes supporting facilities such as a manga corner, merchandise store, food court, and concert room..
