Perancangan Sekolah Alam (Tingkat Menengah Pertama) Dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Organik Di Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
The people of Pekanbaru have a high interest in education, this can be seen from the high interest in sending their children to public and private schools. However, Pekanbaru has challenges and educational problems in terms of school facilities. School facilities in Pekanbaru at the junior high school level are experiencing a lack of facilities, this can be seen from the decrease in the number of school facilities from the elementary school level. In addition, Pekanbaru also faces post-pandemic educational challenges, namely the decline in academic skills or knowledge in children or the phenomenon of loss learning. Therefore, it is necessary to have an educational forum that offers creative and independent learning alternatives, to bring out children's potential again. Nature schools function as educational facilities that accommodate interactive, fun learning activities, and provide sufficient space for creativity and independence according to the interests and talents as well as the physical and psychological development of children by learning with nature. This nature school uses an organic architectural approach. The organic architectural approach is an approach that aligns design with site conditions. This design prioritizes the relationship that unites buildings, humans, and their environment. By responding to the potential of the site without reducing the contour and remaining relevant.
