Pemanfaatan Spent Mushroom Substrat Coprinus Comatus Sebagai Biosorben Logam Berat Cu(Ii) Dan Pb(Ii) Dengan Variasi Ph Dan Waktu Kontak
ABSTRACT
Liquid waste produced by industry contains various kinds of chemical compounds that are difficult to dissolve such as lead metal from the pulp and paper industry and copper from the electroplating industry, so it is necessary to treat industrial liquid waste. The aim of this study is to obtain the optimal contact time and pH in the bioabsorption of heavy metals Pb(II) and Cu(II) by calculating the allowance efficiency and optimal capacity of the adsorbent and determining the adsorption kinetics. The variables that will be tested in this study are contact time (30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes) and pH concentration (2, 3, 4, 5, and 6).The results showed the optimal pH of adsorption was at pH 6 with the adsorption capacity of Pb(II) and Cu(II) of 3.10 mg/L and 3.45 mg/L. with the highest efficiency of 59.66% and 63.84%. The optimum contact time was 60 minutes with the adsorption capacity of Pb(II) and Cu(II) of 2.75 mg/L and 3.50 mg/L, with the highest efficiency of 52.84% and 64.77% and The adsorption kinetics model suitable for Pb(II) and Cu(II) metals uses SMS Coprinus comatus of empty bunches of palm oil, namely the pseudo first order kinetics model.
