Uji Konsentrasi Ekstrak Tepung Daun Srikaya (Annona Squamosa L.) Berpelarut Organik Terhadap Mortalitas Ulat Grayak Jagung (Spodoptera Frugiperda J. E. Smith) Di Laboratorium
ABSTRACT
Corn (Zea mays L.) in cultivation has obstacles, namely pest attacks in the field. The main pest that often attacks corn plants is Spodoptera frugiperda J.E. Smith. Soursop plants (Annona squamosa L.) can be used as botanical pesticides to control Spodoptera frugiperda. The study aims to obtain an effective concentration of organic extract of Annona squamosa leaf flour against the mortality of Spodoptera frugiperda pests. The study was conducted at the Plant Pest Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Bina Widya Campus km 12.5, Bina Widya District, Pekanbaru City from February to April 2025. The study used a completely randomized design consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The concentration of organic extract of Annona squamosa leaves given was 0%, 0.25%, 0.5%, 0.75% and 1%. Observation parameters consisted of initial time of death, lethal time 50, lethal concentration (LC50 and LC95), daily mortality, total mortality, changes in behavior and morphology, and temperature and humidity. The results showed that the application of organic extract of Annona squamosa leaves had a significant effect on the mortality of Spodoptera frugiperda pests. The effective concentration on mortality of Spodoptera frugiperda was a concentration of 1% organic extract of Annona squamosa leaves with a total mortality of 85% with an initial time of death of 8.25 hours after application and lethal time 50 at 43.5 hours after application.
Keywords: botanical pesticides, daily mortality, total mortality, initial time of death, morphology.
