Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Padi Gogo (Oryza Sativa L.) Dengan Pemberian Pupuk Batubara Dan Pupuk K Pada Medium Podsolik (Ultisol)
ABSTRACT
The development of upland rice in Indonesia is very important as a solution for food security, especially in areas that do not have adequate access to irrigation water. Upland rice is a rice variety planted on dry land, with major challenges such as limited soil nutrient content and low productivity. Efforts that can be made to cultivate upland rice on dry land are by using organic materials. The provision of organic materials needs to be supported by the addition of macro nutrients to increase upland rice production. The macro nutrients that can be used are K fertilizers. K fertilizers are one of the nutrients that are limited in acidic soils. The study aims to determine the effect of the interaction of coal fertilizers and K fertilizers on the growth and yield of upland rice plants (Oryza sativa L.) on podzolic media. This study was conducted at the Experimental Garden and Soil Science Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru. This study was conducted experimentally in factorial form using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 2 factors, namely the provision of coal fertilizer consisting of 3 levels (control / no dose, 250 kg.ha-1 and 500 kg.ha-1) and the provision of K fertilizer consisting of 4 levels (control / no dose, 25 kg.ha-1, 50 kg.ha-1 and 75 kg.ha-1). The data obtained from this study were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and further tested with the DNMRT test at a level of 5% using the SAS application. Based on the results of the study, it showed that coal fertilizer 500 kg.ha-1 and K fertilizer 75 kg.ha-1 significantly increased plant height, maximum tillers, productive tillers, number of full grains per panicle, percentage of full, weight of dry grain per clump and weight of 1000 grains of grain.
