Analisis Kelayakan Potensi Objek Wisata Alam Pulau Semut Kecamatan Rumbai Timur Kota Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility of Semut Island as a tourist attraction and to understand visitors' perceptions of its potential. This study uses a mixed-method approach. Data will be collected through observation, interviews, and literature review. Interviews will be conducted with both management and visitors. Management will be selected using purposive sampling, while visitors will be selected using accidental sampling. Data analysis will use modified ADO-ODTWA analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results show that the feasibility index of the natural attraction has different index values. The attractiveness criteria has a feasibility index of 76.6%, the accessibility criteria have an index of 83.3%, the surrounding area condition criteria has a feasibility index of 69%, and the market potential criteria has a feasibility index of 100%. the infrastructure and facilities criteria have a suitability index of 91.6%, the clean water availability criteria have a suitability index of 90%, and the carrying capacity criteria has a suitability index of 91.6%. Overall, Semut Island is suitable for development with an index of 86.01%. Based on the Sapta Pesona concept, tourists feel safe and comfortable at the tourist site with its beautiful natural surroundings and cool atmosphere. Tourists also notice orderliness in parking arrangements and no illegal fees being charged around the area. However, tourists believe that the cleanliness of the site needs improvement and that additional facilities and infrastructure, such as souvenir shops, should be added.
