Pemberian Pupuk Fosfor Dan Pupuk Hayati Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Tanaman Jagung Manis (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt.)
ABSTRACT
Sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata sturt.) is a popular horticultural crop among the public due to its sweet taste and significant role in fulfilling nutritional needs. The increasing demand for sweet corn, driven by Indonesia’s growing population, necessitates efforts to boost its production. One approach is through fertilization, which aims to enhance soil fertility and nutrient availability for optimal plant growth and yield. This research examines the interaction between phosphate fertilizer (SP-36) and Petrobio biofertilizer doses on the growth and yield of sweet corn. The experiment utilized a randomized complete block design with two factors: three level of SP-36 fertilizer (150, 200, and 250 kg/ha P2O5) and three levels of Petrobio biofertilizer (50, 100, and 150 kg/ha Petrobio) observed parameters included plant height, stem diameter, flowering time, cob diameter, cob weight with and wcob weight without husk. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and Duncan’s test at a 5% significance level. The results indicated that the interaction between phosphate fertilizer anda Petrobio biofertilizer did not significantly affect any observed parameters. Based on these finding, the recommended doses for optimal growth and yield of Paragon sweet corn are 250 kg/ha phosphate fertilizer (3 g/plant) and 150 kg Petrobio biofertilizer (1,8 g/plant).
Keywords: plant height, stem diameter, flowering time, cod diameter.
