Kebiasaan Makanan (Food Habits) Ikan Gadih (Tor Tambroides Blkr.) Dari Hulu Sungai Kampar Kanan, Kecamatan Koto Kampar Provinsi Riau
Kampar Kanan river is the habitat of gadih fish. This fish is a native fish in highland waters whose numbers and presence are decreasing in nature. This is caused by changes in environmental conditions in their natural habitat and overfishing. Food is an important factor for fish life because it can help determine the area where fish are distributed and also can be used to monitor the number of fish populations in an area. The availability of food in the waters can be determined by analyzing fish food and comparing it with the food in the waters. To identify the eating habits of gadih fish in the Upper Kampar Kanan River, research was conducted in September – November 2022 in the Upperstream of Kampar Kanan River. The fish samples were fish caught by fishermen using gill net fishing gear of varying sizes. The research results showed that from the analysis of the digestive tract, the types of food obtained were plants/seeds, insects, plankton and unidentified food. So it can be concluded that the types of gadih fish food vary. Also, the Gadih fish that live in the upper reaches of the Kampar Kanan River, Koto Kampar District are omnivorous fish that predominantly eat plants as seen from the IP (property index).
