Potensi Bakteri Fotosintetik Anoksigenik BFA) Dari Perairan Dumai Sebagai Agen Biodegradasi Minyak Solar
This study was conducted to identify the types and potential of anoxygenic photosynthetic bacteria (ABF) from Dumai waters, Riau Province as biodegradation agents of solar oil. The study was conducted from January to March 2025. Sea air samples were taken from three different stations in Dumai waters reflecting the port, estuary, and industrial areas, using a purposive sampling method. The process of isolation, characterization, and testing of bacteria was carried out at the Marine Microbiology Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau. The method used was a survey method with stages of morphological and physiological analysis of isolates, as well as oil degradation ability tests using SMSS media enriching solar oil in three concentrations (2%, 5%, 10%). The identification results showed the possibility that isolate BFA012 came from the genus Chromatium and BFA031 from the genus Blastomonas. Optical Density (OD) measurements showed the highest growth at an oil concentration of 10%, but the highest degradation efficiency occurred at a concentration of 2% with an efficiency of 48.37% for BFA012 and 32.11% for BFA031. This shows that BFA012 has greater potential as a biodegradation agent for diesel oil.
