Uji Potensi Mikroba Endofit Meniran Hijau (Phyllanthus Niruri) Sebagai Antibakteri Terhadap Propionibacterium Acnes
Green meniran (Phyllanthus niruri) is a plant that has secondary metabolite compounds, in addition to the use and utilization of bioactive microbial endophytic compounds P. niruri is a more efficient alternative to producing bioactive compounds in large quantities. Acne is one of the inflammatory diseases of the skin caused by the polyferation process by Propionibacterium acnes. This study aims to isolate endophytic microbes, characterize and determine the potential of green meniran endophytic microbes (P. niruri) as antibacterial against P. acnes. The method used in this study started from the isolation of endophytic microbes using cutting and grinding techniques, partial characterization of endophytic microbes and antibacterial activity tests. The results of endophytic microbial isolation were obtained with 15 endophytic bacterial isolates with the most isolates coming from stems and eight endophytic fungal isolates with the most isolates coming from leaves. The results of the antibacterial activity test of the highest endophytic bacteria were obtained BAPP 5.2 isolate with an inhibition zone of 14.10 mm and endophytic fungal isolate JAPP 1.1 with an inhibition zone of 10.90 mm. Based on the criteria of effectiveness of antibacterial tests, bacterial isolates are included in the intermediate category and fungal isolates are included in the resistant category.
