Karakteristik Stomata Dan Uji Toksisitas Daun Empat Jenis Nephelium L. (Sapindaceae) Dari Pekanbaru (Riau)
Nephelium is a member of the Sapindaceae family. This study aims to determine the stomatal characteristics and leaf safety level of four Nephelium (Sapindaceae) species found in Pekanbaru, Riau. Leaf samples were collected using the exploration method, stomatal preparations using the paradermal method. The characteritics of stomata were observed and documented using a light microscope. Toxicity test of aquaeous leaf extract were carried out by using BSLT method. The results showed that the four Nephelium species have similar hypostomatic stomatal distribution type and ren-shaped stomata. However the variations were found in type of stomata based on the type and number of subsidiary cells, stomatal indeks, stomatal density and stomatal size. The LC50 values of the aqueous extracts of the leaves of the four Nephelium species studied ranged from 589.8 to 839.7 which showed toxic result. The results of probit analysis showed a relationship between concentration and percentage of mortality.
Key findings: Nephelium stomata characteristics, LC50, Pekanbaru, Sapindaceae, Leaf toxicity test
