sejarah perkembangan dan pelestarian cagar budaya masjid raja pauh ranap sebagai wisata religi di kecamatan peranap kabupaten indragiri hulu tahun 2017-2024
This research aims to describe the development and preservation of the Raja Pauh Ranap Mosque cultural heritage site as religious tourism in Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. Historical methods were used in this research. Data were obtained through interviews, surveys, documentation, journals, archives, and documentary sources. The study results show that the Raja Pauh Ranap Mosque was established under the order of Sultan Muda Ibrahim. This mosque was built in 1929, with construction assisted by a Chinese convert to Islam, creating an architectural fusion of two cultures: Malay and Chinese cultures. As the oldest mosque in the region, this building holds high historical and spiritual value, including the tomb of King Muhammad Sultan Muda Indragiri in front of its pulpit. During the administration of Regent Yopi Hariyanto, S.E., the Raja Pauh Ranap Mosque was designated as a provincial-level cultural heritage site in 2017 and continued to develop until 2024 during the administration of Regent Rezita Meylani Yopi, S.E., when this mosque was included in the regency-level cultural heritage building rankings. Preservation efforts carried out by the government and local communities have successfully increased public awareness of the importance of preserving cultural heritage. However, there are still several inhibiting factors that need to be addressed to improve the quality of preservation and development of the Raja Pauh Ranap Mosque as religious tourism.
