Introduction: Early reading skills are very important for children to masterat an
early age as a basis for further learning. However, the conventional method that is
still used is less interesting and not in accordance with child development. This study
aims to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the Pintar Membaca
application as a medium for learning early reading in kindergarten TK-PG LAB
FKIP UNRI. Method: This research is a research development (R&D) with the
ADDIE model consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and
evaluation. The test subjects were 6 children at TK-PG LAB FKIP UNRI. The
research instruments were material and media expert validation sheets, teacher
questionnaires, and child response observations. Data analysis was done
descriptively quantitative. Results: The results of material expert validation showed
the feasibility of 84.38%, media experts of 88.55%, and teacher assessment of
93.75%, all in the category of very feasible. The observation results showed that
88% of children gave a positive response to the Pintar Membaca application, such
as enthusiasm when learning and easily understanding the material. Conclusion:
The Pintar Membaca application is very feasible to use as an early reading learning
media for early childhood. This application is able to increase children's interest
and understanding of reading material through an interesting and interactive
presentation.
