This research examines the life skills applied in the home industry of
pineapple chips "Restu" in Kualu Nenas Village. The study aims to analyze the
life skills utilized in this industry, focusing on planning, resource management,
decision-making, and community skills.
Findings:
1. Planning Skills: The owner plans the industry to meet daily needs and
sustain the business. Although goals are not always met, the industry
generally succeeds in achieving its objectives.
2. Resource Management Skills: The owner effectively utilizes local resources,
sourcing raw materials directly from pineapple farmers in Kualu Nenas
Village.
3. Decision-Making Skills: The owner has made strategic decisions, such as
marketing through outlets and partnering with the Insyira Pekanbaru
souvenir shop. Quality control measures ensure optimal pineapple ripeness
and texture.
4. Community Skills: Effective communication and collaboration are evident,
with the owner actively listening to others, resolving issues, and accepting
constructive feedback.
This research highlights the importance of life skills in the success of home
industries, particularly in the context of pineapple chip production in Kualu Nenas
Village.
