Modifikasi Mesin Copy Camshaftkonvensional Menjadi Semi Otomatis
In some motorcycle workshops there are machines used to copy the camshaft made by the manufacturer. However, the machine has a large dimension and requires a large work space. The general purpose of this Final Project is to modify the conventional camshaft copy machine to be semi-automatic. Machines that have been made deficiencies are still conventional using hands both in terms of feeding and rotation of the camshaft axis shaft. While the semi-automatic camshaft engine is modified, the process of feeding and rotation of the shaft no longer rotate by hand but using a DC motor so that the process of copying the camshaft is more precise and more optimal time than conventional. In the copying process, the motor will stop itself with optimum results, the sensor control method on the feed shaft touching the copyed camshaft connected to the DC motor. The conclusions obtained from this final task are: (1) Testing motorcycle camshaft X brand using conventional camshaft copy machine found deviation magnitude 0.02 sd 0.05 mm while using a semi-automatic camshaft copy machine magnitude deviation 0.01 sd 0 , 03 mm, (2) Testing motorcycle camshaft of brand Y by using semi-automatic camshaft machine deviation magnitude -0.02 sd 0.03 mm, (3) Testing motorcycle camshaft Z brand by using semi automatic camshaft machine deviation magnitude 0.03to -0.01mm.
