Nilai Taksonomi Karakteristik Histokimia Rimpang Dari Lima Genus Anggota Zingiberaceae Dari Pekanbaru Riau

The members of Zingiberaceae have aromatic rhizomes that are widely used in traditional medicine. The histochemical characteristic of rhizomes can be used as taxonomic marker. This sudy aims to provide data on the histochemical character of rhizomea of five genera of Zingiberaceae member in Pekanbaru Riau that have taxonomic value. The histochemical was carried on amylym, lipids, alkaloids, flavonoids, and tannins. The result indicate that amylum, alakloids, flavonoids, and tannins were found in all of the examined specimen. While lipid compound is not found in the genus Etlingera that can be used to distinguished from the other genera
