The increasing interest in athletic bodies has encouraged many people
to do weight training, one of which is through the Single Pyramide
method. This study aims to analyze the effect of weight training with the
Single Pyramide method on increasing muscle mass of Focus Fit Fitness
Pekanbaru members. In this study, an experimental method was used
with a one-group pre-test post-test design. The research sample
consisted of 10 people selected by purposive sampling. Muscle mass
measurements were taken before and after training for 4 weeks using
the V-TECH instrument. The results of the analysis showed a significant
increase in muscle mass. The t-count value reached 24.992, much
greater than the t-table of 1.8331 at a significance level of 0.05, so that
the proposed hypothesis can be accepted. The average pre-test score of
the participants was 302.9, which increased to 305 in the post-test. The
conclusion of this study is that the Single Pyramide method is effective
in increasing the muscle mass of Focus Fit Fitness Pekanbaru members.
The success of this exercise is greatly influenced by discipline, healthy
lifestyle, and consistency in practicing.
