The role of human resources has a very strategic role in organizing and running a business in an organization. The role of employees is very important because the human element plays an important role in carrying out organizational activities and plays an active role in policies and the achievement of organizational goals. With reliable human resources, the organization's operational activities will run smoothly. This research was carried out with several objectives to be achieved, namely to analyze the influence of job development and training on performance. To analyze the influence of commitment on employee performance. To analyze the influence of career development and job training on performance through commitment. In this study, the population is 82 employees working at the Pekanbaru City Transportation Office. This study uses the saturated sample method. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data, while the data collection technique uses questionnaires. From the results of the study, it was found that positive career development has an effect on employee performance. This shows that career development can determine the level of employee performance, the better the career development, the employee performance will increase. Job training has a positive effect on employee performance. This shows that job training can determine the level of employee performance. The better the job training, the employee performance will improve. Commitment has a positive effect on employee performance. This shows that commitment can determine the level of employee performance. The better the commitment, the employee performance will increase. Career development has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through commitment. This shows that career development followed by high commitment can determine the level of employee performance, the better the career development and employee commitment, the employee performance will increase.
