Unjuk Kerja Organic Rankine Cycle Berkapasitas 560 Watt Dengan Penggunaan Panas Buang Mesin Bensin Sebagai Sumber Energi
ABSTRACT
This study discusses the Performance of an Organic Rankine Cycle with a
Capacity of 560 Watts with the Use of Gasoline Engine Exhaust Heat as an
Energy Source. ORC is a modification of the conventional Rankine cycle, where
in ORC the working fluid is an organic fluid or refrigerant that has a low boiling
point, so that at low temperaturs it is capable of producing steam. The working
fluid that is good to use is R134a which is obtained from the references of
previous studie. Gasoline engine exhaust heat is exhaust heat that is rarely reused
because it has low temperatur exhaust heat. Experiments are carried out by
varying the temperatur of the heat source entering the evaporator. Experiments
were carried out by varying the exhaust gas temperatur in the evaporator 75 ⁰C,
85⁰C, 95⁰C and the turbine inlet pressure was 10 bar, 11 bar, and 12 bar. From
the experimental results obtained a maximum efficiency of 2.13% at the variation
of the exhaust gas temperatur in the evaporator 95⁰C with a turbine inlet pressure
of 12 bar with an ORC power of 44.8 Watt.
