Efektivitas Pembelajaran Menggunakan Kit IPA Melalui Pendekatan Saintifik Pada Materi Pengukuran Dalam Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Siswa Kelas VII SMP
This research aims to describe the effectiveness of the application of KIT Science with a scientific approach in improving students' concept understanding. The design used is a quasi-experimental: Posttest only control group design. The population in this research were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Bagan Sinembah Raya for the academic year 2022/2023 with a sample of 43 students consisting of class VII-1 as the control class, which consisted of 21 students and class VII-2 as the experimental class. totaling 22 students. The data collection instrument was a test of concept understanding of measurement material consisting of 21 multiple choice questions which were first tested for validity using SPSS and reliability testing with KR 21. The data analysis
technique used was descriptive analysis through the average value of students'
concept understanding and inferential analysis through normality test,
homogeneity test and hypothesis testing with the help of SPSS 23 program. The
results showed that learning became more effective as seen from the average
value of students' concept understanding in the experimental class was better than
the control class and there were significant differences in students' concept
understanding between the experimental class which applies KIT science with a
scientific approach with a control class that applies conventional learning models.
