Pembuatan Alat Penghasil Serbuk Logam Dengan Metode Atomisasi Udara
ABSTRAK
Powder metallurgy is a metalworking technology that has been widely developed in the manufacturing industry, such as: gears, bearings, electrical equipment, lamp filaments, and others. Making this final project aims to obtain a metal powder producing device with the air atomization method in accordance with the design drawings from the reference and to obtain metal powder from used piston materials. The tool for producing metal powder using the air atomization method consists of several main components, namely the furnace lid, the heating furnace, the top cover, the top cover, the top frame, the bottom cover, the bottom frame and the air filter. The making of this final project has actual measurements and designs. The actual measurements on the components are measurements outside of the design sizes but the sizes are still within the design tolerances. The results of the powder obtained by observation using a macro microscope can be seen that the shape of the powder structure produced by the air atomization method is irregular.
