ABSTRACT
The solid medical waste chopping machine is used to make shredded various kinds of waste in hospitals such as infusion tubes, syringe bottles, hoses and others. The purpose of this study was to produce a frame design for a solid medical waste chopping machine in the form of technical drawings and structural strength analysis. The chopped results of solid medical waste in the form of plastic are melted down so that the harmful substances from the medical waste can be lost or destroyed. The main components of this solid medical waste shredder are blades, motor, frame, hopper, pulley and v-belt. The design of this solid medical waste chopping machine uses the French method which has 3 series of activities starting from analysis, optimization to evaluation.
