Prototype Pembangkit Listrik Memanfaatkan Rumble Strip Pada Jalan Berbasis Piezoelectric
ABSTRACT
Energy is a very important requirement for human life. Humans as living beings with high mobility really need energy to support their activities. Using transportation, using communication tools, and so on are inseparable from energy needs. Indonesia is one of the countries that use the most private transportation in the world, which is ranked 11th in the world. This condition has the potential to be developed by utilizing mechanical energy from passing vehicles by utilizing rumble strips on the highway where rumble strips are very useful to remind drivers that there is something to watch out for. In this study, the mechanical energy generated from vehicles passing through the resulting rumble strip is converted into electrical energy and used to turn on LED lights, by utilizing a component called piezoelectric. In this research, data is loaded in the form of voltage with a PC-ocilloscope connected to a laptop. The maximum electric voltage generated in this study is 14.02 Vac. Where the heavier the vehicle the higher the voltage generated.
