Rancang Bangun Reaktor Pirolisis Plastik Skala Laboratorium Untuk Produksi Bahan Bakar Cair
ABSTRACT
Pyrolysis is a process of thermochemical decomposition of solid materials into solid, liquid and gaseous forms through endothermic reactions. Therefore, the design of a pyrolysis reactor is very important so that the pyrolysis temperature can be reached so that products that can be used are formed, including charcoal, bio oil, and flammable gas.Modern human life depends on the energy used to fulfil their needs and desires. The majority of this energy is met from fossil-based resources. Petroleum as a source has been processed for energy (42%), transportation fuel (45%), plastic production (4%), petrochemical industry raw materials (4%), and others (5%) On the other hand, these resources include non-renewable resources whose reserves are currently running low while their needs are increasing. The design of this pyrolysis reactor has design parameters and the specifications are obtained, namely a reactor with a diameter of 0.168 m, a height of 0.45 m, and a thickness of 0.007 m, a condenser with a length of 1.6 m and a diameter of 0.025 m, and a heater with a diameter of 0. .19 m, height 0.35 m, and capacity of 1000 watts, testing was carried out to see if this tool was running well after testing the tool was running well by producing as much as 77 grams of oil.
