Pengaruh Penggunaan Kipas Ruangan Sebagai Penambah Debit Aliran Udara Terhadap Kinerja Mesin Pengering Pakaian Siklus Kompresi Uap
ABSTRACT
In this research, a clothes dryer machine was studied using an Air Conditioner (AC) with a closed air cycle vapor compression system and using a room fan. This study aims to improve electrical energy efficiency, determine the performance of a clothes dryer, the speed of drying clothes and to compare the performance and the comparison of the rate of drying clothes with a room fan and not using a room fan in a dryer with variations in the load of clothes that are dried using (washing machine). The limitation of the problem in this study is that the capacity of the drying chamber has a size of 1.5 m x 0.75 m x 1.8 m using one type of cloth in the form of a towel and has 3 variations of clothing load, namely the mass of 1 kg, 2 kg, 3 kg. For testing using a fan as an air flow rate, the values are SMER 1.039 kg/kWH, 0.925 kg/kWH, 0.713 kg/kWH; SEC 0.926 kWh/kg, 1.469 kWh/kg and 1.592 kWh/kg; then the drying rate values are 1.320 kg/hour, 1.167 kg/hour and 0.875 kg/hour. For testing without using a fan, the values are SMER 0.822 kg/kWh, 0.793 kg/kWh and 0.702 kg/kWh; SEC 1.567 kWh/kg, 1.580 kWh/kg and 1.955 kWh/kg; then the drying rate values are 0.785 kg/hour, 0.742 kg/hour and 0.687 kg/hour.
