ABSTRACT
Riau Province possesses significant tourism potential; however, a portion of its
residents tend to prefer tourist destinations outside the region, such as West
Sumatra. One contributing factor is the lack of an information system capable of
providing personalized tourism recommendations. This study aims to develop a
tourism recommendation website based on a Hybrid Recommender System,
combining Content-Based Filtering and Collaborative Filtering methods using
data sourced from social media platforms. The system was developed using the
Agile Life Cycle methodology, consisting of the stages: meet and planning, design,
code and test, release, and feedback. The final system was evaluated using the
ISO 25010 method with 50 respondents, resulting in an average score of 89.46,
categorized as “Excellent” and graded A, indicating that the system is userfriendly
and capable of delivering relevant recommendations aligned with user
preferences. This system is expected to serve as a solution to enhance the appeal
of local tourism in Riau Province and function as a more interactive and
personalized digital promotion tool.
