Sintesis Dan Karakterisasi Senyawa Kalkon (E)-1-(4-(4-Bromobutoksi)Fenil)-3-(3-Metoksifenil) Prop-2-En-1-On
Chalcone is one of secondary metabolites that has been reported to possess biological activities such as antimicrobial, antitumor, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimalarial, and anticancer. Chalcone can be used as an intermediate for synthesizing heterocyclic compounds such as flavones, flavanols, flavanones, etc. Chalcone has been synthesized using (E)-1-(4'-hydroxyphenyl)-3-(3-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1-on with 1,4-dibromobutane. The structure of compounds were characterized based on spectroscopic data included UV-Vis, IR, and 1H-NMR. Compounds COB-Br showed high absorbance at 207, 226 and 318 nm. HPLC analysis showed a major peak at 20.37 min at 226 nm. IR spectroscopy showed a peak at 3011 cm-1 indicated the present of alkane C-H; a peak at 1650 cm-1 indicated the present of C = O group; a peak at 1605 cm-1 indicated the present of C = C alkenes; a peak at 1594 cm-1 indicated the presence of C = C aromatic, and a peak at 557 cm-1 indicated the presence of C-Br. 1H-NMR spectral analysis results showed that the number of obtained was in accordance with the expected structure. Chemical shifts at δ 7.55 and 7.77 respectively showed the doublet signal of proton Hα and Hβ while chemical shifts at δ 4.10; 2.10; 2.01 and 3.52 respectively show the triplet, multiplet, multiplet and triplet signals of proton from substituent 4-bromobutoxy
