Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Melalui Media Kartu Bergambar Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di Paud Terpadu Mekar Sari Kecamatan Pekaitan Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
This study is based on the low reading ability of the beginning is as follows: 1) the child is not so familiar launching a symbol a-z, 2) the child is still difficult to distinguish between one letter with another letter, 3) the child find it difficult understand the relationship between sound and letter form, 4) children less active and less happy to follow the learning process. The purpose of this research is as follows: 1) to know the ability to read the beginning of children ages 5-6 years in early childhood Mekar Sari can be improved through the media card picture, 2) to know the application of display card media can improve the reading ability of the beginning of children aged 5-6 years, 3) to find out how much improvement of reading skills beginning with picture card media of children age 5-6 years in early childhood Mekar Sari. This type of research is classroom action research. The subject of the study were integrated childhood education Mekar Sari with is children, consisting of 11 girls and 4 boys. The result showed that: 1) using picture card media can improve the reading ability of the early child age 5-6 years in early childhood Mekar Sari, 2) in the inicial data obtained value of 42.33 % with the criteria start developing after the improvement in cycle I obtained value of 53.68 % with the criteria developed as expected and in the second cycle obtained value of 83.32 % with criteria developing very good. From observation result of growth aspect observed at initial data to cycle I percentage equal to 26.8 %, and the percentage increase from cycle I to cycle II is 55.2 % and so the percentage from initial data to cycle II is 96.8 %.
