This study aims to determine the business prospects of the home industry of steamed sponge cakes in Pekanbaru City and to find out any problems or constraints faced in running the business of steamed cake in Pekanbaru City. Population in this research is snowball sampling method, where it can of the first respondens, the next respondens The research method used in this research is the feasibility study method, by reviewing the aspects of feasibility study that is review on financial aspect and non financial aspect. In the non-financial aspect through a review of the market, raw materials and socio-economic aspects, as well as an overview of the financial aspects through financial feasibility reviews by calculating Net Present Value (NPV), B / C Ratio, Internal Rate of Return (IRR). The results of this study indicate that the non-financial aspect views of the steamed cake industry in Pekanbaru City have prospects and are feasible to be developed, as well as a review of the financial aspects through the feasibility calculation showing the value of NPV = 44.061.435> 0, B / C Ratio 1.072 > 1, IRR value 14.02%> 12%. From these calculations show that the home industry of steamed sponge cakes in Pekanbaru City has the prospect and deserve to be developed.The main obstacle in running this steamed cake industry is because of the lack of attention and support from the local government so that this business is difficult to compete with the industry from which has received attention from the government of Pekanbaru City, and the tools used by my industry steamed bolu is still quite simple.
