ABSTRACT
Computers are a system of electronic devices that have the purpose of processing data, which can then produce useful information. The use of computers that are too long, accidents, and the age of the device, can cause damage to computer hardware components which of course is very disturbing, especially for activities that depend on computers. However, repairing computer damage is not as easy as operating it, not everyone knows the damage that occurs so that experts in this field are needed to handle it. To provide a solution to this problem, a practical tool is needed, namely an expert system. The reason above made the researchers carry out research under the title Web-based Computer Hardware Damage Diagnosis Expert System Using the Forward Chaining Method. Making Web-based Computer Hardware Damage Diagnosis Expert System Using the Forward Chaining Method aims to make it easier to find out the PC (Computer) problem if the hardware is damaged. So that Information Management and Information System Students can access and operate the PC (Computer) smoothly. This system was developed using the PHP, HTML programming language and accompanied by using the Framework, XXAMP as a database tailored to the needs in the design process of this system. The things contained in this system include various information such as student data information, PC (Computer) damage data, and e-learning.
