Studi Komparatif Isi Lambung Ikan Betok (Anabas Testudineus) Dari Perairan Rawa Kelurahan Palas Dan Rawa Desa Sawah Provinsi Riau
Anabas testudineus is a type of freshwater fish that live in the swamp areas in the Palas and the Sawah Villages. A research aims to determine the type of food present in the fish’s stomach was carried out in April to May 2018. The fish were caught using gill net, scoop net and bamboo traps, once/ 2 weeks. The number of fish caught during the study was 105, but 10 fishes had empaty stomach and they cannot be analyzed. The main food of A .testudineus in the swamp area of Palas Village is plants (56.99%), insects (18.61%), fish (16.14%), and unidentified materials (8.26%), while those of the fish from the Sawah Village were insects (40.55%), plants (28.99%), unidentified materials (16.20%), and fish (14.26%). Data obtained indicate that A.testudineus is an omnivorous fish.Keywords: Climbing perch, Feeding Habit, Omnivorous fish, Index of Preponderance
