Morfometrik Dan Pola Pertumbuhan Kerang Darah (Anadara Granosa) Di Perairan Bagan Siapi-Api Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
Blood clam (Anadara granosa) is bivalve that settle in the bottom of the sea. A research aims to understand the morphometrical characteristics and growth patterns of A. granosa was conducted in May-June 2018. One hundred clams were analyzed (23.89-50.52 mm shell length and 3.85-18.16 grams total weight). There were five morphological characteristics measured such as shell length, shell height, ligament length, umbo height and lip thickness. There was one meristical characteristic count, namely the number of rib lines. Male and female rib line was 18-20. Results shown that there were three differences of morfometrical characteristics between the males and females, the male is longer than the female, while the females are wider and thicker than males. The growth pattern of A. granosa was alometric negative, with male’s b value was 1.46 and that of the females was 0.74.
