Hubungan Antara Pengetahuan Tentang Tindakan Prosedur Kemoterapi Dengan Tingkat Stres Orang Tua Dengan Anak Yang Menjalani Kemoterapi
Abstract
Parents as people who are always besides to children who undergo chemotherapy often experience stress. Stress can be due to a lack of parental knowledge about the actions of chemotherapy procedures that often arise as a result of chemotherapy in children. This study aims to determine the corelation between the level of knowledge of parents with stress levels of parents and children who undergo chemotherapy. The research of this study used a cross sectional design. This research was conducted on 33 parents who had children who underwent chemotherapy at the Yayasan Kasih Anak Indonesia (YKAK) I and Poli seruni at the Arifin Ahmad Regional General Hospital in Province Riau and were taken through total sampling techniques according to the inclusion criteria. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis using the Fisher's Exact Test. The results of the univariate analysis showed that the majority of respondents' knowledge in the good category was 13 people (39.4%) while the stress level of the respondents was at the moderate stress level of 21 people (63.6%). The results of bivariate analysis in this study showed that there was a significant relationship between the relationship between the level of knowledge about the action of chemotherapy procedures and the stress level of parents with children undergoing chemotherapy with p value 0.001
