ABSTRACT
This study aims to identify what factors are driving and inhibiting the distribution of
tilapia to partner with PT. Suri Tani Pemuka. To analyze the effect of partnerships on the
income of Nila fish breeders in Siantar District. The methods used are survey, observation
and direct interviews with farmers in Nile tilapia seed sowing business with descriptive and
quantitative approaches, the number of respondents as many as 10 people by taking samples
with saturated samples.
The results showed that the factors that encourage farmers to partner are: Market
certainty of high fish selling prices, availability of Nile Tilapia seeds from partner companies,
availability of transportation facilities from partnership companies and advisory assistance.
While the inhibiting factors in partnering are: the high mortality rate of Tilapia fish seeds and
the length of the payment process from partner companies. From the result of research
conducted there is a partnership effect on the income of farmers in Tilapia nursey business
after partnering with PT Suri Tani Pemuka, this can be seen from the result of the T test
which showed a significant value < 0,001.
