Pengaruh Konsentrasi Nutrisi Dan Beberapa Media Tanam Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Tanaman Seledri (Apium Graveolens L.) Dengan Sistem Wick Secara Hidroponik
Cultivation with the system wick hydroponic using nutrients with various
concentrations in the use of several planting media is expected to be able to optimize growth
and production of celery. This study aims to determine the effect of using planting media on
the provision of nutrient concentration and to obtain the best planting media at the right
nutrient concentration, to obtain the best nutrient concentration, and to obtain the best media
for growth and yield of celery with the system wick hydroponic. The research was carried out
at the Experimental Garden House of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, from June
to October 2019. The study used a Split Plot Design, consisting of the main plot of nutrients
(N), namely: N1= AB-MIX 1000 ppm, N2= AB-MIX 1200 ppm, N3= AB-MIX 1400 ppm,
N4= AB-MIX 1600 ppm, sub plots of planting media (M), namely: M1= Husk Charcoal,
M2= Cocopeat, M3= Sawdust, consisting of 3 replications. Parameters observed were plant
height, number of main petioles, number of leaves, fresh weight of crop consumption and
root weight. The results showed that there was a good effect of using sawdust growing media
with a nutrient concentration of 1000-1200 ppm on the growth and yield of celery. Giving a
nutrient concentration of 1200-1400 ppm showed good results and the treatment of sawdust
growing media could increase the growth and yield of celery.
