Pengaruh Relaksasi Otot Progresif Terhadap Penurunan Nyeri Pada Pasien Kanker Literature Review
Cancer is a non-communicable disease caused by abnormal cell
growth. Pain is one of the complaints or symptoms caused by treatment or tissue
damage in cancer patients. Pain management that is carried out is a combination
of pharmacology and non pharmacology to reduce the pain that is felt in order to
improve the patients quality of life. Progressive muscle relaxation is a non
pharmacological one that can reduce cancer pain by using enganging the muscles
of our own body. Result: To determine the effect of progressive muscle relaxation
on pain reduction in cancer patients. Methods: A systematic literature review is
simple by utilizing a data search engine from 5 journals used regarding the effects
of progressive muscle relaxation on pain reduction in cancer patients. Data
Source: Google Schoolar, Science Direct, and Pubmed. Conclusion: Based on
the literature review of 5 journals, it was found that progressive muscle relaxation
affect the reduction in pain in cancer. Conclusion: The application of progressive
muscle relaxation to get the best results is given for 25-30 minutes with 2
repetitions in each movement.
