Eksplorasi Jamur Endofit Dari Tanaman Padi Gogo (Oryza Sativa L.) Dan Uji Daya Antagonisnya Terhadap Jamur Pyricularia Oryzae Penyebab Penyakit Blas
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research was to obtain endophytic fungal isolates from upland rice plants with the best antagonistic ability in inhibiting the growth of Pyricularia oryzae. This research consisted of 7 stages including sampling, isolation and purification of endophytic fungi and P. oryzae, hypovirulence test of endophytic fungi; antagonistic test of endophytic fungi against P. oryzae; colony growth speed test, hyperparasitism test, and characterization of endophytic fungi with high antagonistic ability. Antagonistic tests were carried out using a completely randomizsed design (CRD) consisting of endophytic isolates derived from stem tissue, leaf sheaths and leaf blades. The data obtained were analysed descriptively and analysis of variance followed by Duncan's new multiple range test (DNMRT) at the 5% level. The exploration results obtained 11 isolates of endophytic fungi from upland rice plants with 9 isolates are non-pathogenic. The results of the antagonistic test of endophytic fungi obtained 7 isolates with high antagonistic ability. isolate PG5 has the highest antagonistic ability 60% followed by PG2 (56%), PG3 (56%), PG4 (54%), PG7 (54%), PG6 (53%), and PG11 (52%).
Characterization results of PG2, PG6 and PG7 are identified as Trichoderma sp., PG3 and PG5 are identified as Aspergillus sp., PG4 is identified as Penicillium sp., and PG11 is identified as Nigrospora sp.
