Pengaturan Jumlah Pelepah Dan Pemberian Pupuk Kalium Terhadap Komponen Produksi Tanaman Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq.)
ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the influence and interaction of regulating
the number of fronds and applying potassium fertilizers to the components of oil
palm crop production. This study was carried out experimentally using a
randomized design of factorial groups. The first factor is the number of fronds
with 3 levels (56, 50, and 44 fronds per plant). The second factor is potash
fertilizers with 4 levels, (0, 3, 4, and 5 kg per plant). The parameters observed
were number of female flowers bunch, number of male flowers bunch, sex ratio,
bunch number, bunch weight, fresh fruit weight, fresh fruit volume, and mesocarp
thickness. The data obtained were statistically analyzed with fingerprints using the
SAS application and DNMRT further tests at a level of 5%. The results showed
that setting number of fronds to 50 per plant increased sex ratio, bunch number,
bunch weight, fresh fruit weight, fresh fruit volume and mesocarp thickness. The
application of potash fertilizers 5 kg per plant increases bunch number, bunch
weight, fresh fruit weight, fresh fruit volume and mesocarp thickness. The
interaction of regulating the number of fronds of 50 per plant and the application
of 5 kg of potash fertilizer per plant tends to be the best treatment in increasing oil
palm crop production yields.
