Pemberian Pupuk Kandang Ayam Dan Biochar Sekam Padi Pada Media Dystrudepts Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Tanaman Kakao (Theobroma Cacao L.)

ABSTRACT
Indonesia’s cacao productivity is low, need effort by utilized cultivation technology. Cacao can grow in many different types of soils, including Dystrudepts. Dystrudepts require tillage to increase land productivity. Application of organic matter can increase land productivity. Chicken manure is an organic matter that includes enough nutrients. Support with rice husk biochar can increase productivity and soil nutrient availability. The study was conducted over a period of three months (October-December 2021) at experimental garden and Soil Science Laboratory, University of Riau. This study was experimentally conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) two-factor. Chicken manure as the first factor consists of four levels, A0 = 0 g per plant, A1 = 125 g per plant, A2 = 250 g per plant, A3 = 375 g per plant. Rice husk biochar as the second factor consists of four levels, A0 = 0 g per plant, A1 = 125 g per plant, A2 = 250 g per plant, A3 = 375 g per plant. Create 16 combinations 3 repetitions. The observed parameters consisted of plant height, leaf number, leaf area, stem diameter, root volume, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight and soil chemistry. The results showed application 375 g of chicken manure and 75 g of rice husk biochar per plant increased root volume, plant height, leaf number, leaf area, stem diameter, fresh weight and dry weight of plants compared by other combination treatments.
