Hubungan Sifat Perkembangan Biji Dengan Komponen Hasil Kacang Hijau (Vigna Radiata L.)Untuk Penentuan Kriteria Seleksi
ABSTRACT
This study was to determine the genetic relationship and phenotype of mung bean seed development and yield components of several varieties of mung bean planted at various planting densities so that good characters can be found for determining direct and indirect selection criteria. The study used a randomized block design (RBD) with two factors and three replications, so that 12 combinations and 36 experimental units were obtained. Characters observed were flowering age, number of productive branches, plant height, harvesting age, seed dry weight, dry matter accumulation rate, effective filling period, number of pods per plant, number of fruitful pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, number of seeds per plant, seed weight per plant, weight of 100 seeds and seed yield per m2. The data were analyzed by analysis of variance then continued with honestly significant difference using SAS. The components of variance and heritability were then determined, and the correlation and selection response were calculated. The results showed that varieties had variability in almost all characters, while plant density did not show any differences for all characters. The results showed that the characters with wide genetic diversity and high heritability included plant height, dry weight of harvested seeds, speed of dry matter accumulation, and effective seed filling time. There are characters that are significantly correlated with seed yield per m2 with a high genetic correlation value. The results of indirect selection response showed that seed weight per plant can be used to improve seed yield per m2.
