This research is motivated by problems that often occur in the school environment. One of these problems is the waning of nationalist values. And one thing that influences it is the process of globalization. The younger generation seems to have lost awareness of their identity as part of the Indonesian nation. This is caused by the tendency for lifestyles to adopt more elements of western culture. This phenomenon can be seen in the younger generation's interest in products from abroad. The impact is that it will slowly erode and erode Nationalist Values in the younger generation. Therefore, we must carry out the importance of instilling nationalist values in students from now on. One forum that can foster Nationalist values is the Paskibra Extracurricular. Therefore, the author is interested in conducting research with the title The Influence of Paskibra Extracurricular Activities on the Practice of Nationalist Values at SMKN 4 Pekanbaru.
The formulation of the problem in this research is whether there is an influence of Paskibra extracurricular activities on the practice of nationalist values at SMKN 4 Pekanbaru. The aim of the research is to find out whether there is an influence of Paskibra Extracurriculars on the Practice of Nationalist Values at SMKN 4 Pekanbaru. The theoretical benefit of this research is that it is hoped that this research can function as a guide for readers or as a reference for similar research, and also provide readers with an understanding of the topic discussed. The practical benefit is as a reference for further research.
This research method uses quantitative methods with a statistical approach. The data collection instrument used in this research was a questionnaire consisting of 36 statement items. The population in this study was 41 students who were members of the Paskibra Extracurricular. Determining the sample in this study used a total sampling technique, so that the entire population in this study was used as a sample. Based on the results of research on the influence of Paskibra Extracurriculars on the Practice of Nationalist Values at SMKN 4 Pekanbaru.
So it can be concluded that: There is an influence of the Paskibra Extracurricular on the Practice of Nationalist Values at SMKN 4 Pekanbaru. This can be proven from the F test, it is known that there is a significant influence on the Paskibra Extracurricular variable (X) and the Nationalist Values variable (Y). This is proven by the results of the f test calculation of 78.013, while the f table is 4.09 at a significance level of 5%, which means that Ha is accepted. And the results of calculating the correlation or relationship value (R count) are 0.817. From the SPSS output, a determinant coefficient (R Square) of 0.658 is obtained which is expressed in percentage, namely 66.7%, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of variable %% = 33.3% influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
Apart from that, the regression equation Y = 11.352 + 0.793 -Nationalism value will increase by 0.793. The coefficient is positive, meaning that Paskibra Extracurricular (X) has a positive effect on Nationalist Values (Y).
