ANALISIS PENGARUH SHADING TERHADAP PERFORMANCE RATIO YANG DIHASILKAN OLEH PERANCANGAN ROOFTOP PV DI GEDUNG FAKULTAS TEKNIK UNIVERSITAS RIAU
Shading on PV refers to the shadows cast by objects around the Faculty of Engineering
building at the university, which will affect the rooftop PV installation. The research
was conducted at the Faculty of Engineering Building at Riau University, using
research methods that included measuring solar radiation, analyzing weather data,
measuring tree heights, and simulating system performance using PVsyst. This data
was then used to design the system and compare the performance with and without
shading. The simulation results showed that Building C produced 253,023 kWh of
energy, and the Dean's Building produced 61,175 kWh of energy. Building C and the
Dean's Building did not experience shading because they are multi-story buildings.
Building F produced 428,300 kWh of energy and 409,865 kWh when shaded, Building
T produced 487,348 kWh and 464,145 kWh when shaded, Building O produced
258,266 kWh and 249,071 kWh when shaded, Building TPP produced 326,527 kWh
and 318,223 kWh when shaded, and the Petrochemical Building produced 79,679 kWh
and 79,674 kWh when shaded. When shaded, Building C and the Dean's Building did
not experience a decrease in energy production, while Building F experienced a
decrease of 4,304%, Building T experienced a decrease of 4,761%, Building O
experienced a decrease of 3,56%, Building TPP experienced a decrease of 2,543%,
and the Petrochemical Building experienced a decrease of 0,006%.
