Analisis Kemiskinan Multidimensi Di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Provinsi Riau Tahun 2023

ABSTRACT
Poverty is a complex problem faced by every country including Indonesia. The calculation of poverty only focuses on the monetary approach, while the problem of poverty is multidimensional. This study aims to identify the characteristics of multidimensional poverty in decile 1 to 4 households in Kuantan Singingi Regency, analyze multidimensional poverty in Kuantan Singingi Regency and analyze the relationship between the characteristics of multidimensional poverty and the level of multidimensional poverty in Kuantan Singingi Regency. This research uses secondary data sourced from the 2024 Target for Accelerating the Elimination of Extreme Poverty (P3KE). The research method used in this research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The first objective was analyzed using descriptive analysis, the second objective using Alkire Foster analysis and the third objective using Rank Spearman analysis. The results showed that the characteristics of decile 1 to 4 households in Kuantan Singingi Regency experienced the highest problems in the indicators of stunting risk (24.21%), education continuity (22.46%), and type of house wall (22.18%). The results of the Alkire Foster analysis show that the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) value in Kuantan Singingi Regency is 0.0437718 or 4.38% and households experience deprivation in 4 to 5 indicators. The results of the Rank Spearman analysis show that 9 out of 11 indicators have a negative and significant relationship with multidimensional poverty. Meanwhile, the other two indicators, namely home ownership status and source of lighting, do not show a significant relationship with multidimensional poverty.
