In the digital era, the role of technology and information communication has
changed almost every aspect of life, including the world of education.
Technological advances also bring innovation in creating innovative learning
media. One of the learning media in the digital era is augmented reality.
Augmented Reality offers a solution by presenting 3D visualization, so that
learning material is easier to understand. This research aims to develop
augmented reality learning media based on Riau Malay culture in elementary
schools that is valid and practical. Augmented reality learning media was
developed using R&D research methods with the ADDIE model. Research data
was collected by means of observation, interviews, and distributing
questionnaires. Product validation was carried out by three experts, namely
media, material and language experts with an overall average score of 92.36% in
the very valid category. The results of product trials carried out on 17 students
obtained an overall average score of 89.8% in the very practical category and the
teacher response was 95.3% in the very practical category. Based on the results
of validation and trials, it can be concluded that augmented reality learning
media based on Riau Malay culture in elementary schools is suitable for use in
learning.
