Pengaruh Edukasi Terhadap Pengetahuan Terkait Stunting Pada Siswa Di SMP Negeri 1 Bagan Sinembah Raya

Stunting is one of the nutritional issues in Indonesia caused by chronic malnutrition, particularly during the first 1,000 days of life. The stunting reduction achievement in Rokan Hilir for 2024 is 29.7%, which is still far from the national target of 14% by 2024. One of the factors contributing to stunting is low knowledge levels. Enhancing the understanding of prospective parents, especially during their teenage years, is one preventive measure to address stunting. This study aims to determine the effect of education on knowledge about stunting among students at SMP Negeri 1 Bagan Sinembah Raya. The research used a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest and posttest design. The sampling technique applied was stratified sampling, with a total sample of 73 students. The results of this study showed that the average pretest knowledge score among students was 51.03, while the average posttest knowledge score was
88.36. There was a significant difference in students' knowledge (p=0.000) after the educational intervention on stunting.
