ABSTRACK
In 2020, the Ministry of Education and Culture reported that 50% of
classrooms at every level of education were damaged. This is in line with the
observation results of the Tasikmalaya City Education Office in the same year, as
well as data regarding facilities and infrastructure at SDN 187 Pekanbaru and
SDN 005 Kumbara Utama. This study aims to evaluate the availability, condition
and ownership status of physical education facilities and infrastructure in public
elementary schools in Teluk Binjai Village, Dumai City. The method used was a
survey with a descriptive quantitative approach. Data were obtained through
direct observation and documentation at the schools that were sampled using the
total sampling technique.
The results showed that the standardization of locations for exercise in
accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of National Education Number 24
of 2007 has met the established criteria. However, the availability and ownership
status of physical education facilities and infrastructure in public primary schools
in Teluk Binjai Village varied. Of the total schools studied, 42.9% (3 primary
schools) were in the low category, 28.6% (2 primary schools) were in the medium
category, while 14.3% (1 primary school) were in the high and very high
categories respectively. In terms of the condition of the facilities and
infrastructure, 42.9% (3 primary schools) showed low condition, 28.6% (2
primary schools) were in moderate condition, and 28.6% were in high condition.
Thus, the overall facilities and infrastructure are in the low to moderate category
of 71.5%. Thus, this paper recommends that all schools use the results of the study
as a basis for completing facilities and infrastructure. Then, encourage teachers
to develop and modify facilities in effective learning.
