21st entury education aims to encourage students to have the skills
that support them to face changes along with the times. The skills that
students must have today are in accordance with 21st century skills, namely
critical thinking, communication, creativity, collaboration, literacy skills and
so on. A person's success in education today depends on good literacy skills.
Literacy is the language ability possessed by individuals to communicate
both in reading, speaking, listening or writing as well as literacy towards
the environment. The important role and purpose of literacy is to solve
problems, analyze something, understand information and others.

thermochemistry material needs to be done because problems were found,
namely that learning in schools has not optimally developed students' scientific
literacy skills, so that students' scientific literacy skills are relatively low,
learning is still centered on teachers, and students' lack of concern for the
surrounding environment. Lack of development of teaching materials that can
train scientific literacy skills and environmental care students and the use of
technology and communication by educators and students in learning is still
not optimal.
This research uses a development method Research and Development ( R&D)
with the ADDIE model which consists of five steps, namely Analyze, Design,
Development, Implementation, and Evaluatin. Arrangement of activities e-
LKPD based Socio Scientific Issue online using the Canva application and
applications flip pdf corporate 2025 to make e-LKPD. The data analysis
technique in this study is to use validation sheets, question instruments, teacher
and student response questionnaire sheets and questionnaire sheets
environmental care.
The population in this study were students of class XI of SMA
Cendana Pekanbaru. The validation sheet assessment was carried out by 6
expert lecturers, namely 3 material experts and 3 media experts. One-on-one
trials were conducted on 3 students who had different abilities, namely 1
student with high ability, 1 student with medium ability and 1 student with
low ability. Large-scale trials were conducted on class XI-2 as an
experimental class of 32 students and XI-1 as a control class of 32 students.
The results of the study showed that e-LKPD based on Socio Scientific
Issue which was developed to improve scientific literacy skills and
environmental care Students in thermochemistry material received a
percentage of expert validation of 91.22% with a very valid category. The
aspects assessed by material experts were the appropriateness of content,
language and graphics. Meanwhile, media experts gave an assessment
percentage of 92.22% with a very valid category. The aspects assessed were
content components, design and appearance. The results of the one-on-one trial

analysis obtained comments from students which were used as references for
revisions toe-LKPD. The results of the analysis of the user response
questionnaire, namely teachers and students, obtained a presentation of 91.3%
and 91.2% with a very good category.
Implementation e-LKPD based on Socio Scientific Issue which was
developed on thermochemistry material was declared effective in improving
students' scientific literacy skills based on tests. t-test with value sig(2-Tailed) <
0.05, meaning that there is a significant difference in the scientific literacy
abilities of students between the experimental class and the control class. The
increase in the scientific literacy abilities of students in the experimental class
can be seen from the test N-Gain Score of 0.78 with a high category.
Implementation e-LKPD based on Socio Scientific Issue which was
developed on thermochemical materials was declared effective in increasing
environmental care student learning based on tests. t-test with value sig(2-
Tailed) < 0.05, meaning that there is a significant difference environmental
care students between the experimental class and the control class. Increasing
the learning motivation of participants students in experimental classes seen
from the test N-Gain Score of 0.81 with a high category.
Based on the data analysis above, it can be concluded that with the use
of e-LKPD based on Socio Scientific Issue can improve students' literacy skills
and environmental care students in thermochemistry material.
